1979年に米ミネソタ州ミネアポリスにて結成のオルタナティブ・ロックバンド、The Replacements（リプレイスメンツ）の1985年10月にリリースの彼らに取って初のメジャーレーベルからのリリースとなったアルバム「TIM」です。180g重量盤LPです。

The Replacements were simply one of the greatest rock bands ever. Their early releases were to make them legends and inspire an entire generation to think of them as cultural and musical heroes.
Tim was released in 1985 and was their first major label release and also the last to feature the original band line-up. The style of the album shows Paul Westerberg's diverse influences which include Roy Orbison, Duane Eddy, Chuck Berry and Nick Lowe.
The album prompted Rolling Stone to write, "while threatening to careen off center, the music always coalesces into the proverbial greater whole," adding that the LP "sounds as if it were made by the last real band in the world."
