Despite releasing two successful albums in Australia, and gaining a significant buzz in music circles, by 1976 AC/DC couldn't find a US record company. Much like the Beatles' initial success, an American company finally caught on and decided to combine several tracks from the existing albums to create High Voltage. It served as a perfect primer to the stripped-down, blues inflected style that is AC/DC. Tracks like T.N.T. and The Jack quickly caught the rest of the world up to the antics on the Young brothers and Bon Scott.
